No More Pre-Printed Georgia State Tax Booklets!

The state of Georgia, has stopped offering pre-printed tax booklets and forms.

You can download and print the booklet yourself - if you can find it!

Really, in "Whatsacomputer", Georgia not everyone wants, has, or even knows what a computer is!

Just to do one measly thing on a computer, they have to find a full blown computer, connected to a functioning internet connection, running a compatible OS, running a compatible browser, running a compatible PDF reader, connected to a compatible printer, that is actually working, has sufficient ink/toner and paper, and waste twice the amount of paper printing single sided unless they get fancy and try to print double sided - which always screws up! And pulling the computer out next year, everything will be out of date.

Is any of that even possible on toy cell phones? If it is, the upkeep needed to keep it working would be a zillion times worse than a desktop computer.

Who even has a printer any more?

The whole idea of having paper is that SOME PEOPLE MAY NOT HAVE A COMPUTER TO USE IN THE FIRST FUCKING PLACE!

Now paper users have to store this self printed mess. Long term storage is part of the reason people want paper. They can refer back to the printed ones years later without having to dig up an old machine.

I also hate to think of the people at the tax processing centers who have to handle all kinds of random poorly printed forms. Streaky toner, too light, odd paper size, or some wise guy who printed it on a dot matrix printer.

So why not offer pre-printed booklets like federal government?

Oh, but that's not GREEN, why do you hate the planet!? Instead of making us plant a few more trees, have a bunch of Chinese slave laborers assemble a new electronic device using nonrenewable materials strip mined or pumped from the center of the earth, just so you can use it once, throw it away and buy a new one next year! A few sheets of paper are just so BAAAAAADDD in comparison! (This message has been brought to you by Dell Computers)

Don't like it? Oh, well, I guess you can always PAY to have someone else do your taxes for you.

Where are our state tax dollars going? Oh, right, selling computers and tax preparation services!
