Solaris Customize
Nautilus is highly customizable. You can resize the icons to a variety of sizes. You can make them smaller or they can be very  large.

Also the Side Pane and other objects can have a custom background.

Solaris Netscape 4
Nautilus sort of acts like a web browser. You can bookmark URLs and folders from the Bookmarks menu.. It can retrieve internet URLs but will only display HTML as text. This version also includes a basic HTML renderer that can be sleeted for viewing HTML documents, but it is not entirely functional.

For opening HTML documents Solaris 9 includes the old Netscape 4 web browser.

Solaris Panels
Panels can be added and customized, adding such things as a CD player, a command line box, a log out button, a lock screen button, and custom icons to any program.

Solaris Help
The GNOME desktop also includes a help system called "yelp".

I think this system can use all the yelp it can get. These screen shots can't show it but I found the entire user interface to be rather sluggish. Part of this might be because I used older hardware but I expected more since this is also an older OS.

Solaris Multimedia
This shows a few of the multimedia applications that are included.

Like most Unix systems, Solaris doesn't just automatically make the floppy disk available when inserted. It must be manually told told to check for a disk.
